Intelligent factory system in HYDRO-NAVAL
HYDRO-NAVAL is in the process of implementation of the production scheduling system called IPOsystem (Intelligent Production Organization System).
The innovative system is able to manage production independently by changing the responsibilities of people, who previously managed the production processes. The system allows to eliminate complex processes of planning, logistics and supervision in the production shop.
IPOsystem oversees the production management system by implementing the most optimal decision based on the sequence of specific technological tasks from the point of view of meeting the project completion deadline as well as maximum utilization of production resources. The system also automatically gives orders to perform subsequent tasks to workers and responds in real time to any change in resource status and deviations from established deadlines for specific processes.
All resources (human and technical), as well as all scheduled tasks they perform, go into the system along with all production orders, technologies and materials necessary for their execution within a specified period. IPOsystem automatically schedules all jobs and distributes work (commands) among workers in shop via Work Terminals.
In HYDRO-NAVAL we plan to place several Work Terminals, which in addition to distributing work also serve as a time registration system. Work Terminals are electronic and require proximity Worker Cards. Implementation of the whole system is scheduled for the first half of 2016 and it will certainly require training of all employees involved in production process. We realize there is a big challenge and a lot of work ahead of us, but we hope that the implementation of this innovate system will improve effectiveness of our joint efforts, increase production productivity and reduce any disruptions related to quality, timeliness and flow of information.
